Sonia Friedman named as one of Britain’s 500 Most Influential

Sonia Friedman has been named as one of Britain’s 500 Most Influential, in a list compiled by The Sunday Times in association with Debrett’s. 

Listed as one of ‘the brightest and the best’ of Britain’s stage and screen communities, Sonia Friedman appears alongside producers Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Sir Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire as well as director, actor and producer Kenneth Branagh.

Benedict Cumberbatch, who recently starred in Sonia Friedman Productions’ Hamlet at the Barbican, and Mark Rylance, who lead the cast of Farinelli and the King in a co-production between Sonia Friedman Productions and Shakespeare’s Globe, also appear.

In the last 12 months, Sonia Friedman Productions has brought the critically acclaimed Bend It Like Beckham: The Musical and A Christmas Carol to London’s West End. Whilst The Book of Mormon and Sunny Afternooon continue their successful West End runs. Elsewhere, King Charles III transferred to critical acclaim on Broadway, and both Funny Girl and Harry Potter and The Cursed Child were announced to be opening in London's West End in 2016.
